My name is Iron & I’m stoked you’re here.
I designed this page for first-time users on my site.
It’s a condensed down version of my bio, the backpacking skills I teach & my art.

Long story short, backpacking is a way of life for me.
I spend over 100 nights in the backcountry yearly. Catch me outside.
From hiking the PCT to living almost full time in the Olympics… These mountains keep me grounded & I’m just here passing info to you.
When I’m not backpacking I’m creating art and being my wild self.
You now have access to all of the backpacking guides and videos on my website. Much Love!

In 2012 I quit my job as an electrician to thru-hike all 2,650 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail and haven’t looked back since.
You can get to know me better by reading my bio.
